Position: Artist-in-Residence. Woodblock Printmaking. Honed my skills carving woodcuts by hand with chisels and printing on paper, created the largest and most complex work of my career. Taught workshops for students and adults.

Personal House Construction: Designed, planned, and built by hand my first home, a 250 sq.ft. “tiny house.”
Pacific Crest Trail Thru-Hike: Planned, prepared for, and hiked the entire 4,250-kilometer wilderness backcountry trail across the United States, from Mexico to Canada.
New Zealand Travel: Explored the country for 6 months, including hiking 1448 kilometers on the Te Araroa wilderness backcountry trail.

Position – Museum Exhibit Designer: Designed interpretive exhibits and interactive environments for new museums, as well as completed presentation materials. Central America and Mexico: Backpacked from Costa Rica through Mexico. Painted murals, attended Spanish lessons, and became scuba certified.

Position – Appalachian Trail Ridgerunner: Responsible for patrolling 117 kilometers of the Appalachian Trail. Taught visitors about environmental ethics and safety. Responded to Search and Rescue.

Appalachian Trail Thru-Hike: Planned, prepared for, and hiked the entire 3,505-kilometer trail across the United States from Georgia to Maine.
