Description

This is a reduction print, which means that a single block of wood is carved and printed repeatedly, slowly reducing it down. Very different types of mark making are possible with this technique, including “positive” mark making rather than the traditional “negative”. But the downside is that since a single block is being slowly destroyed through the process, if make a mistake halfway through the process, there is no going back and fixing it.

This is an original fine art print, carved and printed by hand, and signed by the artist.
